VC Audio Pro does not produce mp3 files. Unfortunately the licensing fees for employing legacy mp3 software encoding would make the app uneconomical, both for the developer as well as the consumer.

The app does have the ability to Send to email as m4a, with similar size compression, and better quality than mp3. We can encode through the built in hardware, a much faster solution than software encoding.

The 10Mbyte limit for email is imposed in the iPhone by Apple’s firmware, rather than our software.

Interesting note for email, is that you can edit script for the resulting output file, or any of your source files. This script file becomes the text in the body of your email.

I will add your voice as a Feature Request for mp3, though again unless mp3 licensing fees are reduced significantly is unlikely to be adopted.

To be able to record and edit audio was just part of the dream. That has now been largely solved by VC Audio Pro. Once you get the hang of it, it is a great editing tool.

Now here is the issue: once you have edited it, how can you export an mp3 and then upload to Tumblr without having to use a desktop machine?

Either: Tumblr accept other formats. VC export mp3.

At the moment you can email an <10meg file and it works for posting.

This could be better.
